After the course, the participant must have competence and understanding for the design and execution of electrical installations in hospitals, healthcare installations, dental and veterinary offices, as well as good knowledge of relevant regulations. This includes, among other things, FEL and NEK 400-7-710 Medical areas.

Electrical contractors, electricians, consulting engineers, electrical inspectors at specialist companies or DLE.

** Electrical Safety** This covers the basics of electricity, grounding, protection against electric shock, EMC and how to handle electrical installations in medical areas.

** Specific requirements for medical areas** Participants learn about specific requirements and standards that apply to medical rooms, including NEK 400-7-710 Medical areas. This includes requirements for emergency power, backup power, grounding, lighting, sockets, monitoring and much more.

** Medical IT system and UPS** Understanding of medical IT system (isolation transformers and switching automation) and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is essential to ensure continuous power supply to medical equipment.

** Electrical installations in medical areas** This includes the installation, maintenance and testing of installations in medical areas GR 0, 1 and 2, such as operating theatres, intensive care units, laboratories, bedrooms and examination rooms, etc.

• Risk assessment of medical areas* Participants learn to assess risks and carry out classification of medical areas, as well as prepare the required documentation.

In addition to this course, you must receive a tour and instruction in the individual facilities you will work at. This is arranged by the individual employer.

The course satisfies the authorities' requirements for documentation that the employees' knowledge is safeguarded in accordance with the regulations.
